Sitting all by myself

Just over the past couple of days Abby has been sitting up all by herself! She is even able to catch herself sometimes when she starts to tip over. She is going to be walking before we know it :)

Abby is 5 months old!

I can hardly believe that Abby is already 5 months old! Everyone tells you how time flies and it really has. We are enjoying all the changes she has made with rolling all over the place, grabbing everything in front of her and putting everything in her mouth. She is eating rice cereal and oatmeal right before bed along with a bottle and that has really helped her to sleep through the night (YEAH!!!). She has pretty much grown out of her 3-6 month clothes and she is quickly moving into her 6-9 month sized clothes.

Her hand is pretty much healed, the skin is peeling where it was blistered. Her hand only bothered her in the first 24 hours and then she seemed to be better. We still are so thankful that it was just her fingers that were affected.

For those of you who experienced her colic stage she is doing SO much better!! She is a little high maintenance and I am guessing it is because we interacted with her so much in the beginning to help calm her so we are working on trying to have her play by herself in her exersaucer and sometimes just rolling around on the floor playing with her feet. We love her so much and pray that we are being the best parents we can be.

Abby's 1st Valentine's Day

Mommy & I were both in red and black, I just love my mommy!! Great Grandma & Grandpa Petty got this outfit for me.


My cute monkey onesie with a tutu from Auntie Heather, Uncle Sean and cousins Dakoda, Logan & James. Am I cute or what?!?!?


Mamaw & Papaw bought me popcorn, a cookie on a stick and Dove chocolates. I can't wait to get into this popcorn!! YUM!!


I got this puppy sleeper from Grandma & Grandpa, I am going to love dogs just as much as my parents do! : )

Ouch!

We had our first ED (Emergency Department) visit. Abby put her hand on a space heater Wednesday night and burned all her fingers except her pinky on her right hand. She has little white blisters on her fingers which is considered a second degree burn. There isn't too much they can do for it except wrapping her hand and have us give her Tylenol as she needs it. The space heater has been moved to the basement and mommy is the one who will be scared for life but I know that accidents happen and will be more aware of what Abby can get to that could hurt her. She thinks that her wrapped hand is a new toy...she has adapted quickly to not having full access and will be excited to have her hand back again shortly.

Cereal

The doctor has us feeding Abby 2 tbsp of cereal at night and she just loves it! She is growing up so fast!


Leeza sits nearby thinking she may get something....it is only a matter of time before Abby starts feeding her. We hope that they become best of friends!

The fish...

We bought a couple of new toys for Abby's exersaucer and she just LOVES the fish!!!
